Will Goble is an in-demand
bassist who performs across the United States. He boasts a
full, dark sound, a strong belief in swing, and the commitment to
support his fellow musicians in any ensemble.
Will has appeared as a sideman with world-renowned
pianist Marcus Roberts and with numerous other notable artists,
including Jason Marsalis, Wess "Warmdaddy" Anderson, Vincent Gardner,
Marcus Printup, Kevin Bales, Fred Wesley, Martin Bejerano, Scotty
Barnhart, Philip Harper, Leon Ansderson, and Stephen
Riley among others. He currently performs frequently with
his own group, as well as the Jason Marsalis Vibes
Quartet.
In January of 2009, Will relocated to Atlanta, GA,
where
he performs regularly with the city's top musicians as
both a sideman and as the leader of his trio or quartet.
Before arriving in Atlanta, Will spent six years in Tallahassee, FL. In
June of 2008, he received his masters degree from
Florida State University, where he worked as a graduate teaching
assistant in the jazz studies program assisting Marcus Roberts in
developing educational curricula for new college students interested in
studying jazz.
